How to spend a wonderful weekend in Nashville, the City of Music
Nashville was such a fun, unique experience and a great weekend getaway. From the small shops and restaurants at places like the Gulch and 12 South, to the bright lights of Broadway street, Nashville definitely has something for everyone!

On our first day, Friday, we headed to Centennial Park because they have a replica of the Parthenon. Also, Taylor Swift has a song called Invisible String, that mentions Centennial Park! They have a bench inscribed with a quote from her song, “Where I used to read at Centennial Park,” so if you’re a Swiftie, you should check it out. There is also a Women’s Suffrage statue that is right next to the Parthenon, so that was really fun to see.
After the park, we headed to Broadway for some lunch. We ate at Dierks Bentley’s place called Whiskey Row, and they had a live musician who was hilariously interacting with the audience the whole time. This restaurant is close to the Ryman Auditorium, which is a world famous auditorium where artists like Dolly Parton have performed. We had a tour reservation right after lunch. I’d imagine a show there is even more incredible in person. Nashville is definitely the City of Music.
We stopped by the legendary Milkshake Bar after the auditorium. They are known for their crazy milkshakes, and they did not disappoint. We needed a long walk after those milkshakes, so off to the bridge that overlooks the river and has a great view of Nissan Stadium. We were in town for the Las Vegas Raiders versus the Tennessee Titans game, and it was exciting to see the stadium a few days before gameday! It was surprisingly pretty warm towards the end of September, make sure to check the weather ahead of time. I would recommend dressing in layers since you’ll be warm with all the walking you’ll do.

Nashville has murals and street art everywhere! We went out of our way to see the mural with the red lips, but it was worth it! After the mural, early Saturday morning, we headed to the street 12 South that is lined with so many shops, cafes, and restaurants. We had coffee at the Frothy Monkey, hilarious name, but really great coffee! There were so many murals on this street, so we grabbed our coffee and went out searching for them all.
There is a Stoney Clover store, which is popular for its customizable items, and we walked in to see the Hey Y'all mural. It's a great Instagram spot! I loved that the store was covered in pink, they even had a pink guitar and microphone.
We couldn’t go to Tennessee and not eat any barbeque, so lunch was at Edley’s Bar-B-Que which was so delicious. There is a very popular cookie place down the street called Christie Cookie Co. and we tried a few different flavors.

Another stop was the Nashville Zoo. Kind of a random choice we know, but it was a very beautiful zoo with so much to see. After the zoo, we went back to the room to get ready for dinner at Pinewood Social. If you are planning a trip to Nashville, you have to go here! They have a vintage bowling alley in the restaurant that you can reserve, and their cocktails were so good! Now to Broadway Street to see the crowds and the street lit up at night. Every bar was packed to the brim, and of course, country music playing everywhere.

Sunday morning we were at Biscuit Love which was so busy even early (8:30 am) in the morning. We tried to get there as early as possible because we were heading to a pumpkin patch a little far out. Each of us got a biscuit and butter.
In Las Vegas, we do not have a true pumpkin patch, so to go to one in the South, it was a dream come true. Cheekwood Estate and Gardens was an unreal place to go visit. If you are going in the fall to Nashville, you will not be disappointed by stopping in to this amazing place! There is so much land covered in flowers and pumpkins. The gardens seem to go on forever, and there are so many unique things to see. After this, we headed to Nissan stadium to attend the Raider game.
I would definitely recommend Nashville The City of Music to anyone who is even thinking about traveling to this part of the country. There are so many different things to see and do. I would love to go back to explore more that Nashville has to offer!
